Improve Your Smile’s Appearance
As time goes by, our teeth start to wear down and become more susceptible to damage. Age-related wear in teeth is almost impossible to avoid and can prevent you from feeling confident in your smile.
Porcelain veneers may be the ideal solution for anyone who wants to improve the overall appearance of their smile. At Luck Dental Clinic, we recommend this treatment for patients who have cracked, chipped, or discolored teeth.
What are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin, durable shells that can give you a stunning smile in no time. They’re affixed to the teeth and help cover various imperfections. Receiving veneers is a safe and reliable cosmetic dentistry procedure that can be completed in as little as two visits to our Luck dental office.
When proper oral hygiene is practiced, porcelain veneers can last between 10 and 30 years before needing to be replaced. Best of all, veneers are stain-resistant, so you’ll never have to worry about them becoming discolored over time like natural teeth.
Benefits of Porcelain Veneers
There are a number of benefits to porcelain veneers, such as:
- Quick Procedure: Porcelain veneers don’t involve a complex procedure. All it takes is two visits to our Luck office to achieve the blemish-free smile you deserve.
- Efficient & Effective: Whether you have discolored, chipped, cracked or oddly-shaped teeth, porcelain veneers may be the solution for you. They look like natural teeth and no one will be able to tell that you’re wearing them.
- Durable: If well maintained, porcelain veneers can last between 10 and 30 years. At Luck Dental Clinic, we use the best technology and materials to ensure your veneers will be able to withstand your daily activities.
- Stain Resistant: Veneers permanently retain their color, making them one of the best solutions for patients suffering from severe tooth discoloration.
Who Can Benefit From Porcelain Veneers?
You may benefit from porcelain veneers if you have cosmetic dental issues such as:
- Misaligned or misshapen teeth
- Worn-down teeth
- Tooth discoloration
- Chipped teeth
- Cracked teeth
- Gaps between teeth
While porcelain veneers are a great way to quickly improve the overall appearance of your teeth, they aren’t for everyone. Dr. Conder will be able to determine if veneers are right for you during your consultation at our Luck dental office.
Porcelain Veneer Process
Consultation
The process of receiving porcelain veneers can be completed in as few as two appointments at our Luck dental office. You’ll first have a consultation with Dr. Conder, where he’ll examine your teeth for any underlying problems and determine if veneers are the best fit for you.
Creating Your Porcelain Veneers
After any oral health issues have been addressed, Dr. Conder will begin the veneer process by taking a digital scan of your teeth to send to an advanced dental lab. From there, dental professionals will use these scans to create your personalized set of veneers.
Applying Your Porcelain Veneers
Once your custom restorations are ready, you’ll return to our Luck dental office for your final appointment. Dr. Conder will begin by removing a small portion of your enamel to make room for your veneers so they’ll fit comfortably and look natural.
Dr. Conder will then adhere a bonding agent to your teeth so that your veneers will be secure. He’ll then carefully place your veneers, and after a short waiting period, you’ll be ready to show off your new smile!
Frequently Asked Questions
Veneers may not be a permanent solution to cosmetic dental issues, but they are a durable and effective option. With proper care, porcelain veneers can last between 10 and 30 years before needing to be replaced.
Taking care of your restoration is as simple as brushing and flossing twice a day. We also recommend keeping up with your biannual visits to our Luck dental office to ensure your teeth and veneers are in great condition.
Not at all! Receiving porcelain veneers is a quick, painless, and minimally invasive procedure. Dr. Conder will administer nitrous oxide to ensure you don’t feel a thing while he places your veneers.
You may experience mild discomfort once the numbness fades, but this can easily be managed using over-the-counter pain relievers and cold compresses.
While veneers won’t change the position of your teeth, they can still help improve their appearance. If you have slightly crooked teeth, veneers can help give you a straighter-looking smile. At your initial consultation, Dr. Conder will be able to determine if veneers are a good fit for your situation.
If your veneer gets damaged or falls off, don’t attempt to fix or reattach it yourself. This could lead to further damage and could set your treatment back. Instead, place your veneer in a small plastic bag and contact our Luck office right away at (715) 472-2211 to schedule an appointment. Dr. Conder will be able to assess and resolve your situation. Be sure to bring the veneer to your appointment if it’s fallen off.
